A city court on Thursday remanded gangsters Omprakash and Rajesh Puthenpalam, accused in the Paul Muthoot murder case, in 14days' judicial custody. The two suspects, who surrendered in a Tirunelveli court on Tuesday, were brought here from Tamil Nadu a day later and produced in court on Thursday. The surrender was in connection with a 2004 attempt to murder case. he Congress Monday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the murder of Muthoot business group scion Paul M. George.
State Congress president Ramesh Chennithala said the probe into the murder has been “bungled completely” and people have lost faith in Kerala Police.
